Why do people enjoy listening to Soulja’s Boy music?

Question by FUNKYSASSYPOETRYGURL: Why do people enjoy listening to Soulja’s Boy music?
Many people like his music but do not listen to his lyrics. Do we allow ourselves and the next generation to entertain ignorance by not paying attention to detail? The song “Crank Dat Soulja Boy” is horrible. But what do we do? What do we say? Is this what we want our children to grow up to and listen to?

    Each to their own
Dont like it? Dont listen to it. Problem solved!

I myself, love heavy metal. I’m sure most of you could ask me why i like that too. Personal choice at the end of the day.

i dont know because they dont know what real music is, like pink floyd, queen, beatles etc

MAINSTREAM RAP is done only for money making, always has a catchy tune and usually has little to no meaning

The kids who actually enjoy that garbage are dumb, and if they didn’t represent that through the song then they would some other way. There are kids who don’t like it ..

It really is a matter of opinion. If a person gets used listening to a type of song, then they will start to like it. Our children will not grow up listening to these songs, because by then some other kind of music genre will be popular.

I think it’s a bandwagon type thing. One person likes it, it plays on the radio, it’s a major hit. I personally don’t like it. The lyrics are horrible! I think if you don’t want your children listening to it, tell them that!

I am with you.. How anyone could like this pos is beyond me. It baffles me to think people actually listen to this clown make music. Its incredibly bad music that should not have been made. And unfortunately people actually like listening to it which again baffles me. Like I could make a song like that. You cant even understand what he says half the time. He is a clown just like more than 90% of the rap stars or hip hop stars. it saddens me people listen to the garbage on the radio.

I think a lot of the rave about the Soulja Boy song was because of the dance. Quite honestly I’m pretty sure a large majority of the people that know this song do not understand its meaning. Even the ones that do know its meaning don’t mind because it’s just a song.

You think Soulja Boy is horrible and that’s your opinion, but a lot of other people can tolerate it. There is always someone that hates a song that someone loves.

Of course parents don’t want their kids to listen to this kind of music, but ultimately they are just going to have to accept it and just hope their children will grow out of it.

it’s just a matter of opinion. everyone has different favorite styles of music. some people might say, “ugh, why do peopl listen to country? its sooooo boring!!” or “why do ppl like heavy metal? its so loud and pointless.” personally, i like all music whether its rap, r&b, country or rock. maybe ppl just like the beat because it’s catchy. if you don’t like it then don’t listen to it. some kids listen to music for the beat and others for the lyrics. everyone has their own opinion on everything and to tell you the truth, hip-hop music is mainly known for it’s beats and rhythms so most kids don’t pay attention to the lyrics. most just listen to the melody so i don’t see the problem in that because even if they don’t like the lyrics, they can still listen to it because it has a good melody.
